Oh, yes! Students get bored, and we get bored, too as much as we hate to admit it. Who wants to hear blah, blah, blah all day? It is at this point that our creativity and resourcefulness as teachers come into play. At this day and age of technology, no teacher has the right to stick to just being black and white. The Internet is a gold mine, a spectrum of colors! There is just no limit to what it can do and provide, and our responsibility is to make the most out of it: be creative, be ingenious, be inspired!
LEARNING WHILE HAVING FUN
I remember memorizing the lyrics of any song in an instant, but having a hard time memorizing terms and concepts during my younger years when I was studying. I wanted to help my students memorize terms and remember concepts in no time, it is for those reasons that I thought of creating short routines with rap or lyrical words and music accompaniment. It is so effective as a starter, or as a respite at the middle of the lesson to pump up the sleepyheads.
