Wilted

The sun is ablaze, the flower has wilted
Whilst the inner fire has consumed the foliage
And turned into a dying ember.
No such thing as ever pink nor evergreen—

For every day the blossom is just surviving.

PedRock Compilation

                The Bow
It is only in my dreams that I get to see you and be with you, but lately,
I don't dream about you anymore; nor do I have dreams that have you in them.
It makes me sad.
They say dreams are a product of the work of the subconscious mind.
That whatever and whoever we desire, our mind will materialize it for us, albeit intangibly.
It makes me sadder.
I want you to rest, but I don't want to forget you.
The moments that I am happy or confused are the same moments that I miss you.
Sadness: sometimes just a word,
Oftentimes your absence in my life.

Mentor de los Mentores

(Mentor of All Mentors)

Mr. Martin Coogan (VP-Academics): Mentor of All Mentors
In the Odyssey, Mentor was Odysseus' friend who was in charge of Odysseus' son Telemachus, and of the palace when Odysseus left for the Trojan war.[1]

Mentor in English means someone who imparts wisdom and shares knowledge with a less experienced colleague.

A mentor inspires and challenges.
A mentor encourages and has practical plans for dealing with professional dilemmas.
A mentor helps in realizing an organization's mission and vision.
A mentor is both a leader and a follower.

Mentor in my school means everyone getting a shot at leading the others towards excellence, and behind each one of us is the mentor of all mentors-- Mr. Martin Coogan.

He is a disbeliever of mediocrity. He challenged the conventions of the past and raised the bar high enough to challenge our levels of aspiration and expectation.

I am what I am as a teacher now because of him. We share the same strong work ethic.

This man, aside from being clever, hardworking and highly productive, has an uncanny knack for paying attention to details. He sees every nook, thus avoiding possible mishaps. He assigns work and follows through; gives us constant heads-up to accomplish targets within the prescribed time. He is always excited to introduce new educational trends, hence making sure that we stay out of the cave. Most of all, he understands unintentional blunders, praises results, and recognizes our efforts and achievements.

Mr. Martin, mentor of all mentors, my mentor, you are a SUPERSTAR!

Mommy Is Just Number Two

WHEN Mom asked you who do you love most, you just said she is number 2. Mommy was silent, but deep in her heart she felt sad and unsure. Maybe what she has been doing is not enough for you to keep her in number 1. She started to self-assess if she has been doing her part well. Maybe, on your part, Mommy was not deserving of number 1.

Mommy would like to say sorry for those times that she could not help you in doing your assignments and projects, those times that you feel you had no one because Mommy chose to be away, those times that Mommy wasn't there to say, "Good job!" when you get aces in school.

But Mommy would like you to know that although she is just number 2, you are her number 1 reason why she had to be away, that you are her number 1 reason why she could not give up the fight no matter how many bad things happened to her abroad, that you are the number 1 reason why she just became number 2 in your life.

Mommy loves you more than you think you know, and now that you have turned ten years old Mommy is hoping that there will come a time that she will be so sure, that she does not need to ask where she is placed in your life.

The Tale of Two Angels

Far beyond the stars A place no mortals go In the midst of clouds Where specks of gold dust sown Two angels watch a familiar face Smiles they gain watching her ways A weeping mother she has been Whose life is filled with tears They watch her each day They see her laugh, love and pray They watch her almost give up They watch her carry on The weeping mother struggles to move on The weeping mother said, “I am ready to go... I served my purpose, what is left to do?" She prayed to the heavens And hope that it happens “Not yet, mother; in God’s time it will be. We would love to take you here In this place called eternity.” Life is hard but God is kind. The two angels remain a tale But in her heart forever they stay.

A DREAM: Missed, But Never Forgotten

It was her birthday. She was lying down, gradually closing her eyes. The first words she said were "I love you". She asked him questions which require answers need not to be expounded.

"Who are with you there?'

"Many people... Umm... It was just lately that it dawned upon me that I already left the physical world...But please do not worry about me because I am very happy wherever I am now."

"But we always miss you."

(Dad giving a hearty laugh and a solid smile) "I am always watching over all of you."

She woke up with a smile on her lips and tears in her eyes. He is in a better place now, and he should not be forgotten because he is not forgetting them.
